Geithner, Bear Stearns Executives to Testify for Crisis Panel

April 29 (Bloomberg) -- Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner, his predecessor Henry Paulson and former executives from Bear Stearns Cos. will testify before the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission at hearings next week on the shadow banking system’s role in the financial crisis, the panel said today.

James Cayne and Alan Schwartz, who served as chief executive officers at Bear Stearns before the firm collapsed in 2008, will testify on May 5 along with former Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Christopher Cox, the commission said today in an e-mail statement. Geithner and Paulson will appear on May 6, the panel said.
