LAS VEGAS (AP) - A federal commission is meeting in Las Vegas as part of its national effort to examine causes for the financial meltdown that led to the Great Recession.
The 10-member Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission was set to meet Wednesday with banking executives, analysts and public officials for a daylong hearing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
The expert panels include Jeremy Aguero and Brian Gordon from Applied Analysis and U.S. Attorney Daniel Bogden.
The commission is also expected to hear from the public during the meeting.
The group was created by Congress and has a formal report due to lawmakers and President Barack Obama Dec. 15.
