Financial Times group takes the privacy of its users seriously. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our users while providing a personalised and valuable service. Information Collected

Personal information is collected by the FT companies listed below on behalf of the Financial Times group of companies and its trading entities (including Financial Times Business, FDI Intelligence and Exec-Appointments). Each of these FT companies are registered with the UK’s Information Commission as Data Controllers in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. References in this privacy policy to “FT”, “we”, “us”, “our” or similar refer to the FT group company operating the relevant website and references to “FT sites” refer to any of our websites from which you have accessed this privacy policy.

Use of Cookies and Other Tracking Devices

Some of our websites use web analytics services provided by Google, Inc., Site Intelligence Limited, 24/7 Real Media, Bango plc, White Label Intelligence Ltd and Tynt Inc., each of which uses cookies to help us to analyse how users use FT sites. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our sites (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored on servers in the United States and/or United Kingdom. They will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our sites, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. They may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on their behalf. They will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Site Intelligence, Google, 24/7 Real Media, Bango, White Label Intelligence or Tynt. Some of the advertisements you see on FT sites are generated by third party service providers. Some of these third parties generate cookies for statistical purposes on behalf of FT, for example, for tracking how many unique users have seen a particular advertisement, and how many times they have seen it, and for providing you with advertisements that are more relevant to your interests. They do not contain personal information such as your name or email address. Audience Science, who generate these cookies have their own privacy policy at http://www.audiencescience.com/privacy. FT do not have access to these cookies, although, in order to provide you with a better user experience, we may use statistical information arising from the cookies provided by Audience Science to build up a profile based on your browsing patterns across the FT sites and third party websites that are part of the Audience Science network. This profile enables us to make advertisements available to you that are more relevant and tailored to your interests. For example if on a previous visit you went to our personal finance pages, we might find this out from your cookie and we may then target personal finance advertisements on your subsequent visits to our sites or third party websites which we think may be of interest to you.

Security Policy

Financial Times group companies have appropriate measures in place to ensure that our users’ Data is protected against unauthorised access or use, alteration, unlawful or accidental destruction and accidental loss. User Data may be transferred outside the FT group to data processors such as fulfillment houses but they will act only on our instructions to provide the services required.

Transfer of Data
