About Voices
This is a section of the All Things Digital Web site featuring posts from around the Web, from other Dow Jones properties and also original pieces we solicit. The section is now explicitly labeled that it comes “from other Web sites.”
Regarding third-party posts: We are trying to point readers of this site to other posts from around the Web that we admire and are trying to do so in the quickest manner possible.
That is why we have made even more changes to Voices to ensure we do this in the most transparent and timely way. While we don't expect that everyone will agree with our policies, we have made changes that reflect our intent in pointing to content outside our site.
So here is exactly what we do.

Great news! The IPO market of Q1 2011 was better than the IPO market of Q1 2010. But sadly, that’s not really saying much, because the first quarter of 2010 saw all of eight venture-backed IPOs. And the first quarter of 2011 saw just three more. Read More »
Somebody somewhere has found a new twist on an old method for attacking Web sites. The lesson here? Don’t click on any strange pop-up messages. Read More »

Netflix Adds Fox’s “Glee”
Netflix, which may lose access to shows from Showtime this summer, is adding some from News Corp.’s Fox studio. As in other recent deals the video service has signed, the new pact gives Netflix subscribers access to shows they haven’t had in the past–in this case, the big new titles are “Glee” and “Sons Of Anarchy”–but only older episodes: None of the shows will be available “in season.” The deal is an expansion of an existing agreement, and is non-exclusive. News Corp. also owns this Web site.

FCC Commissioner Indicates AT&T-T-Mobile Deal Could Face Steep Climb
FCC Commissioner Michael Copps, who opposed Comcast’s acquisition of NBC Universal, said that AT&T’s proposed deal to buy T-Mobile USA could face an “even steeper climb” than that deal. In an interview with C-SPAN to be aired on Saturday, Copps said that he is concerned with the $39 billion deal, according to Reuters, which said it has viewed the C-SPAN interview. According to Reuters, Copps said that if the deal did win backing of a majority of commissioners, significant divestitures could be required. Both the FCC and Department of Justice must give their blessing to the deal.
