      I live on the MS Gulfcoast and worked with the Vessels Of Opportunity all Summer long,,there were weks that we saw no oil at all then weeks where tar balls and tar mats the size of school buses floated in,,they were cleaned up fairly easy ...when they hit the sandy beaches,its the marshes at Cat Island that are very hard to clean
      For the record,,Id love to get my boat back out picking up tar balls,,and Id do it for Half of what they were paying before

      Don't be patronizing. It is common knowledge that Native Americans used tar balls to start fires. Everyone who has been to a beach has seen a tar ball. But not beaches covered in oil. The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution found a riv...er of emulsified oil 22 miles long and a mile wide emanating from the Macondo site. Corexit was mixed in with the oil at high pressure. No other country would allow this chemical to get near their shore lines. No one knows what this highly emulsified oil will do, it has never happened before. They are already finding oil in crab larvae. The larvae's skin would normally block the oil droplets but they have been made smaller by the emulsification process and so now can get into the cells. If anyone pretends to know anything about how this is going to turn out, either way, they are selling something. And looking for suckers to buy.See More

      D Edward Farrar please repeat after me, "the VB 360 was not a drl rig it was a production platform, there was no explosion, the fire was of short duration, the safety equipment work and shut all the wells in. There was no pollution."
      The 4,0...00 wells are not drlng rig but product platforms with the same safety equipment as VCB360.
      You warn the next diaster is probably just around the corner. can you state the time between DWH and the PREVIOUS diaster in the GoM.      See More

      Don't matter, BP can point all the fingers of everybody that is in BP, it does not change the fact that BP made the final decision in everything on DWH. If they thought nitrogen cement was chancy it is their to reject it for a different opt...ion just as they opted for 6 centralizers when 21 was recommended. And it goes on all down the line for each and ever decision. Accept, reject, modify, opt for different choice ---BP.
      On a rig the operator, just as a captain of a ship is god. Next excuse ---it was an act of god.      See More
