LAS VEGAS -- The list of witnesses to testify to the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission's Las Vegas public hearing was released Thursday.

The list includes Las Vegas economists, business leaders, U.S. Attorney General Daniel Bogden The hearing is set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 8 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP at the commission's website.

Las Vegas businesswoman Heather Murren, wife of MGM Resorts CEO Jim Murren, is a member of the 10-member bipartisan commission.

The commission is holding a series of public hearings this year on topics that include too big to fail financial institutions, subprime lending practices, government-sponsored enterprises and credit rating agencies.

The commission's findings and conclusions are scheduled to be presented to Congress and President Barack Obama in a formal report on Dec. 15.
