As the Commission’s work begins to wind down, what is the path forward for our recommendations and for building a culture of service in America? Join us for this culminating event and discussion on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. ET.
Join the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, and the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service for a discussion on how building a culture of service can strengthen our communities and our democracy.
On May 4, in honor of Public Service Recognition Week, the Foreign Policy program at Brookings, in partnership with the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service, will host a webinar to highlight the critical role of service.
We invite you to join us on April 28, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. MT remotely, as we partner with the McCain Institute and Arizona State University (ASU) to host a virtual event, Meeting the Moment: The Next Generation of Service.  
Inspired to Serve: A Path Forward postponed until June 25th. We invite you to join us on March 26, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. as we discuss our findings and recommendations and the path forward to for this bold vision and comprehensive plan for the military selective service process and strengthening military, national, and public service in America.

On June 20, 2019, the Commission will host Creating an Expectation of Service Hearing: An Infrastructure to Serve America. This hearing will explore how the government can develop or encourage an expectation of service in America, through a federally-run system designed to connect them with military, national, and public service organizations and opportunities.
On June 20, 2019, the Commission will host Creating an Expectation of Service Hearing: Civic Education and Service in Schools. This hearing will explore creating a culture of service through expanding and enhancing civic education across the country and including service in school curriculum. 
On May 16, 2019, the Commission will host Military Service Hearing: Increasing Awareness among Young Americans and Lessening the Civil-Military Divide. This hearing will explore how the nation can create more awareness of military service, particularly among young Americans, and how to lessen the divide between the military community and society.
