The International Committee on Continental Erosion (ICCE) of the International Association for Hydrological Science (IAHS) is pleased to announce the "Wildfire and Water Quality: Processes, Impacts and Challenges" conference focused on bringing together researchers and practitioners from diverse fields of hydrology, sediment transport, water quality and watershed management to improve knowledge of the impacts of large scale landscape disturbances by wildfire on freshwater ecosystems and better elucidate processes that influence the source, transport and fate of contaminants in the environment. A key goal of this conference is to enable key stakeholders to utilize this information to better model, plan and manage wildfire impacted watersheds.
