The
evolutionary ecology of plant-animal interactions (and so much more)
Research in the Thomson lab focuses broadly on the evolutionary ecology
of plant-pollinator interactions. Members of the lab use a variety of
approaches to address questions about floral trait evolution, pollinator
health and behaviour, the effects of climate change on pollination, and
other aspects of plant and pollinator natural history. We have broad
organismal interests, with projects on bees, hummingbirds, and bats,
along with a myriad of plant species. To learn more about our research
