Call for applications

We are excited to announce a call for applications for VertNet’s first biodiversity informatics workshop, June 24-30, 2012 at the University of Colorado, Boulder. All applications materials and recommendations must be received by 11:59pm PT on January 10, 2012 for consideration.

VertNet Networks

MaNIS, HerpNET, ORNIS and FishNet are taxon-based, distributed database networks of natural history collection data. Each network has a separate search portal that is designed to query the participating institutions and return results in a standardized format. You can search for collection data as well as map specimens that have latitude and longitude coordinates.

Do you have or know of a collection that should be part of VertNet? Review the requirements to join the network.
