Dryden Public Tours Discontinued
12.05.11

Due to budgetary constraints, Individual and group tours of NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center have been discontinued effective Dec. 16, 2011.

Due to economic conditions in the United States, federal agencies, including NASA, have had to take a close look at budget expenditures and reprioritize our work. The Office of Strategic Communications at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center had to make some hard decisions that affect not only employees, but the public as well.

We sincerely regret that we have had to discontinue individual and group tours for the public at NASA Dryden, and hope that we may be able to re-establish them in the future if economic and budgetary conditions allow.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you or members of your group who were looking forward to touring NASA Dryden.

Public tours of Edwards Air Force Base are still being offered by the Air Force Flight Test Center's public affairs office. The tours of Edwards include visiting the Air Force Flight Test Center Museum as well as a windshield tour of the main base area.

For the latest information, go to the base's web site at www.edwards.af.mil On the home page, click on the word "Tours" in red letters at the top. The tour schedule is there along with information about how to make reservations.

You can also call the Edwards public affairs office at either 661-277-3517 or 661-277-4803.
