Disease decimates deer populations in NE Montana
An outbreak of epizootic hemorrhagic disease, or EHD, has nearly wiped out whitetail deer populations along a 100-mile stretch of the Milk River in Montana from Malta to east of Glasgow, and game officials said it will take years for the species to recover.
