Rhode Island Natural History Survey.
The Rhode Island Natural History Survey is
leading the Forest
Health Works Project (FHWP), a
partnership with Rhode Island Department
of Environmental Management. FHWP is focused
on keeping priority RI forests healthy and
free of invasive plants and looking out for
new invasives in the state. RINHS
is on the lookout for early detection species
-- Most
Least Wanted (PDF | 1.6 MB) -- invasive
species with limited distributions already
in Rhode Island, OR species found in CT and
MA but not RI. Please take the time to report
species occurrences via the
reporting
form.

can be transported in firewood, with the
potential to cause damage costing millions
of dollars in clean-up, eradication, and
replanting efforts.
CRMC
receives federal funds for its RI Aquatic
Invasive Species Plan (Mar 14, 2008)
Coastal Resources Management Council.
The Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management
Council (CRMC) has received federal funding
from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
toward the implementation of its new Rhode
Island Aquatic Invasive Species Management
Plan, which was adopted by the Council in
Jan 2008.
