A reference for planning 2012 visits. Contains maps, schedules and info. North Rim lodging and camping along with most other visitor services within the park are open from mid-May to mid-October. Reserve lodging and campsites as far ahead as possible.

Topics include geology, ecology, history, archaeology, photography, and more. The Grand Canyon Field Institute offers guided educational tours at Grand Canyon National Park led by expert instructors while backpacking, camping, hiking, and whitewater rafting.

Learning & Lodging
The Grand Canyon Field Institute (GCA) and Xanterra South Rim, LLC offer fun and informative Learning & Lodging Programs that combine lodging, meals, and two days in the field with an instructor.

This publication provides some basic information on what to expect when using facilities in the park. It is outdated - so you'll need to refer to other park publications: The Guide & Trip Planner for current updates. When 2010-11 construction projects have been completed, this publication will be revised.

Grand Canyon National park publishes a variety of newspapers and brochures. These publications are freely distributed by the park and may be downloaded from this page.
