2. How do I find out airdates of one of your shows?
Our schedules are online, and there are several ways to find the program information you're looking for:
- You can look at the weekly schedule for each of our networks by going to Discovery.com, select the specific network you're interested in and click on "Weekly Schedules" or "Daily Schedules".
- You can also click on the "Date and Time" box on each network's schedule area to go to a specific day in the current month.
- Or you can utilize the search box on each channel's home page if you have a specific program or genre in mind.
- If you still can't find what you're looking for, you can send us an e-mail by clicking here.
- Please note, all programming schedule information is subject to change. We try our best to give you the most up-to-date information, but we ask that you continually check our sites for the most current schedules available.
3. When are program schedules made available on Discovery.com?
Program schedules are made available one to two weeks in advance of the
month of air. Any additional schedule changes are made as soon as
possible. We encourage you to continually visit Discovery.com for the
most current programming schedule information.
4. Why are there inconsistencies between my programming guide and what is on my television?
Your print or other on-screen guides may not reflect the most recent schedule changes, because the schedules were sent to your cable or satellite provider prior to the schedule change.
Please use the "My Discovery" feature on our website at Discovery.com to receive e-mail reminders letting you know when your favorite program is going to air by selecting the network of you choice.
5. What program information is available in your online schedules?
- By clicking on the "Series Title" you can get a list of all airings for titles in that series for the current month along with airdates.
- By clicking on the "Episode Title" you can get a description
of the program, its parental rating and whether it is closed-captioned.
This page will also allow you to get an e-mail reminder of the program
by using the Remind Me feature.
6. Why do I get infomercials instead of programming?
During certain late night hours of each day, some of our networks (for
example, 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET/PT for Discovery Channel) may carry paid
programming or infomercials. Please go to "TV Schedules" on our website
to see the specific programming schedules for your favorite Discovery
networks.
7. Can you help me with questions related to specific health issues?
Our website has an
in-depth database about many diseases and conditions featured within
our programs in addition to healthy lifestyle references. Click on the
following link to Discovery Health Channel and then use the drop-down
list of health centers under the "Diseases and Conditions" tab or use

8. Can you help me gather information for a research project?
Sorry, but we don't have a research staff to help gather facts for
specific projects. We suggest you search this website for related
information, as well as doing other online searches and visiting your
local library.
9. Who can I contact about getting your network added to my cable/satellite service?
Our TV networks are available on cable systems throughout the United States and via direct-to-home satellite (DBS), through select telephone operators and C-band (TVRO). To have a specific network added to your channel lineup today, please call your local cable operator, satellite or telco provider or C-band programming distributor.
10. Who can I contact about a video or audio reception problem?
Please call the customer service department of your local cable operator, satellite or telco provider or C-band programming distributor to report reception problems.

15. Is Discovery Communications programming closed-captioned?
Our networks are compliant with the current Federal Communications Commission requirements to broadcast 100 percent closed captioning on our U.S. networks, which is at least 20 hours per day. If you need information on a specific program, consult the program schedules on this web site, where closed-captioned programs are indicated by "CC". If for some reason you are not receiving closed-captioning, please click here and provide us with the following information.
- Your name and address
- Name of the network and/or name of the program affected
- Specific date and time that the program aired, if it was limited to a particular program
- Are you getting absolutely no captioning, or is the captioning intermittent?
- If the captions are present but unreadable, please describe the errors in detail
- Are you watching our programming on an HD television set?
- What is the channel number for the network you are experiencing the issue on?
- Please contact your local provider about this problem. If you have already contacted them, what was their response?
- Please check another television set in your home and/or a neighbor's television set to verify that it is not just that one television.

18. What is Discovery Communications policy on the submission of program ideas?
We are able to accept proposals only from established production
companies. If you are an individual with a program idea or are
interested in being talent on a program, you should do your own
research on production companies and contact them. If you are a producer and wish to submit a program, please visit: http://submissions.discovery.com.
19. What is Discovery Communications policy on the submission of product ideas?
While Discovery encourages product ideas, we have no official mechanism
to receive them from the general public. The best way to submit an idea
is to send it to Viewer Relations.
20. How can I find out about products related to programming?
Go to the online Discovery Store and add the appropriate key word (e.g., Trading Spaces) to bring up all related products.
21. Can I get a home video of a program I saw on one of your networks?
Some of our programs are available on home video. You can find out
which can be purchased by visiting the video section of the online
Discovery Channel Store by clicking here. We regret that we cannot provide VHS or DVDs of programs no longer on our air or that are not already available for purchase.

34.I'm a viewer under the age of 18. Why can't I submit a question or comment?
Because of COPPA (The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and for policy reasons, Viewer Relations does not respond to viewers under the age of 18.

Discovery's networks follow the FCC's parental rating system. We encourage you to visit http://www.fcc.gov./parents/parent_guide.html for a definition of all the parental ratings.
