PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION AND DATE FOR THIS MEETING. Adventure traveler and photographer Sam Mehta will share photographs and experiences from his recent trip to Ladakh, Buthan, Sikkim, and Assam. These spectacular areas differ in many ways from high desert to lush countryside with exotic plants, to tribal areas and the "Last Shangri-La." Afternoon XC skiing at Twinbrook
Join us for an afternoon at Twinbrook Recreational Area in Cumberland. It is a great place to practice XC skiing. Good for beginners and those over 50. There are challenging portions which can be avoided and plenty of easy terrain to practice on. The area is groomed and has both open fields and trails through the woods (for those looking for more challenge). Nice wide slopes to pratice on as well as plenty of level area. If new to the sport, pointers will be available. $3 donation for use of area.

West Boylston Rail Trail Fitness Snowshoe / Hike
Fast-paced (2-2.5 mph) fitness hike/snowshoe on West Boylston Rail Trail. 5.4 mile loop on average terrain. Depending on the trail conditions, snowshoes and microspikes will be used; these are both requirements for all participants. Meet at the trailhead early afternoon and plan to complete before dark, but please bring headlamps just in case. Contact leader for details on meeting location and time.
