About the Montana Native Plant Society

  Welcome to our site. Here's what's new:

• We are continuing with the Kelseya archive program with new additions and summaries being added on a regular basis. These past issues contain a wealth of information on Montana native plants and are very interesting. (12/9)

 MNPS is a non-profit organization chartered in 1987. Today we have over 600 members. Membership is open to individuals, families, and organizations within and outside Montana. Members can affiliate themselves with local chapters or join at the state level.

 ACTIVITIES are conducted at the local chapter and state levels. The MNPS addresses plant related issues across Montana through committees for conservation, and Landscaping/Revegetation

 KELSEYA, the MNPS newsletter, is published four times a year and is included with your membership. Kelseya contains timely articles about Montana plants and their communities, listings of chapter and state meetings and field trips, and updates on native plant issues.

 An ANNUAL MEETING of the MNPS brings together members from throughout the state to some of the most beautiful places in Montana to learn and socialize through field trips, workshops, and other programs.

If you have questions about activities in your area, or seek information about plants or resources in your area, please contact the chapter closest to you (click on Chapters to the left on this page): Calypso (Dillon, Butte, Southwest Montana; Clark Fork, (Missoula, West Central Montana); Kelsey (greater Helena area); Flathead (Northwest Montana, Glacier Park); Maka Flora (Eastern Montana); Valley of Flowers (greater Bozeman area).
