River issues can arise quickly.  There are days when a watershed issue suddenly requires a spark to help it garner the attention and action it deserves.  That’s when we send out a bulletin, updating members signed-up for our Action Alerts.  It may be that state or federal clean water funding is coming before the legislature and we think members, and the public, might want to weigh in with their representatives.  Or perhaps important river data has been released and we think is critical information for a well-informed public.  Read recent alerts

At other times Alerts are sent out to deliver news of a less-urgent nature.  This is the stuff we just think members might want to know.  It might be about an upcoming paddling trip, a presentation on watershed issues, or a concert of Connecticut River songs.  Whether its river fun or river news—when the time is ripe, we’ll send you an Alert.

We promise not to overload your email and if you find the Action Alerts aren’t your cup of tea, each Alert we send out provides an easy way to unsubscribe.  We also promise not to sell or share your email address.

Speak Up to Your Legislators and Regulators

It’s always a good idea to know who your elected officials are and how to contact them when important issues arise. They are your representatives, and deserve the benefit of your thoughts.

Find contact information and links to your decision makers.
