Completed Projects
A U.S. Highway 101 project widened the route from four to six lanes to extend the carpool lane for two and a half miles and upgrade a congested interchange in Santa Rosa — six months ahead of schedule. Major repairs to the “Boat Section” in the high profile Fix I-5 project in Sacramento were completed in just 35 days of around-the-clock construction. Three miles of State Route 219 in Modesto was converted from a two-lane highway to a four-lane expressway between SR-99 and Chapman Road, funded by Proposition 1B. 2.7 miles of SR-99 in Atwater were converted from a four-lane expressway to a six-lane freeway, funded by Proposition 1B. Railing replacements were among the safety improvements completed during a Fruitvale Bridge rehabilitation project in Alameda county, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
