The California Information Node (CAIN) provides access to data and information about California's environment. In addition to offering a website gateway to environmental information, CAIN is coordinating among data owners and informatics researchers to develop and test new tools to make important biodiversity data easier to locate and use. More information about these projects can be found by using the links below, or by visiting the CAIN Live Maps and Data page.
Supported Projects:
Biogeographic Information and Observation System (BIOS), an interactive mapping application that accesses biological and geographic data collected by the California Department of Fish and Game and its partner organizations.
