Recreation.gov has information on recreation areas with boating activities, as well as other associated water sports. The site also contains regional maps, facility descriptions, and an on-line reservation system.
Boating
Each year, an estimated 74 million Americans enjoy recreational boating in the U.S. If you are one of them, you can use this site to find a place to boat, become a safer boater, and educate yourself about preventing the spread of aquatic nuisance species.

When you leave a body of water:
Remove any visible mud, plants, fish or animals before transporting equipment.
Eliminate water from equipment before transporting.
Clean and dry anything that comes into contact with water (boats, trailers, equipment, clothing, dogs, etc.)
Never release plants, fish or animals into a body of water unless they came out of that body of water.
The NBII Program is administered by the Biological Informatics Program of the U.S. Geological Survey
