Biography:

Retired after career as a physicist doing materials science R&D in the petroleum and petrochemicals industry and am now catching up with other areas of interest.
I use the images at the Moth Photographers Group for my tentative identifications and rely on experts such as Bob Patterson at BugGuide for IDs/confirmation.
Here, John Nelson and John Fisher check IDs for inclusion in the Oklahoma Moths list .
Since August 2008, I have been submitting moths to Paul Hebert at the University of Guelph for his DNA barcoding effort. Moths DNA info link
That has led to many new moth identifications.
