National Land Conservation Programs
These national land conservation funding and technical assistance programs are national in scope and the majority are offered by the Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Department of Interior's Fish and Wildlife Service.

The following federal assistance programs are designed to promote conservation activities, habitat protection or restoration on your land through grants, cost share, or technical assistance.

The U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee recently approved the fiscal year (FY) 2012 Agriculture Appropriations bill, which funds NRCS Conservation Technical Assistance (CTA) and Farm Bill conservation programs. The Committee approved a $19.78 billion FY 2012 spending bill, which is $138 million below FY 2011 levels but $2.7 billion above the House-passed FY 2012 Agriculture Appropriations bill.
