Southern Appalachian Volunteer Environmental Monitoring (SAVEM)

Southern Appalachian Man and the Biosphere program trains volunteers from around the southern Appalachian area to monitor ecological health in their community. Volunteers contribute to invasive exotic plant and water quality surveys. Resulting data can be used to determine the best approaches for effective management as well as improve public awareness of the threats. To learn more go to the SAMAB SAVEM site.
