Status of Exploration and Development Plans Subject to Enhanced Safety and Environmental Requirements in the Gulf of Mexico

On October 1, 2011, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE), formerly the Minerals Management Service (MMS), was replaced by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) as part of a major reorganization.

The BOEMRE.GOV website is no longer being updated. In its place, BOEM.GOV and BSEE.GOV have been launched. This Plans page is now being maintained at
http://www.boem.gov/Oil-and-Gas-Energy-Program/Plans/Status-of-Gulf-of-Mexico-Plans.aspx.
