The identification keys listed on this Web page were initially developed by Mike Arduser (Natural History Biologist, Missouri Department of Conservation) as part of a "Bees of Missouri" project, now being expanded to include all species east of the Great Plains. The keys are all works-in-progress, and will be updated/improved/corrected as necessary. Some keys include males and females, some include only females; some keys only include Missouri species at present. None of the keys are illustrated. Keys are in preparation to all the genera, as well as a key to the genera and subgenera of the area.
