Welcome to Hamilton County 911
The Hamilton County 9-1-1 Unified Emergency Communications District (District) proudly provides emergency and administrative support for thousands of residents, visitors and first responders. Through the use of
state-of-the-art technology and a highly trained staff, we work to exceed the expectations of our community in their critical time of need. The District is the primary answering point for all communities within Hamilton County, except Soddy Daisy and Lookout Mountain.
The District employs more than 130 telecommunicators who answer an approximate average of 2,000 to 2,500 calls for service each day from residents and visitors in Hamilton County. Telecommunicators also dispatch responders for all public safety response disciplines - law enforcement, fire and EMS - across 26 various agencies.
The mission of the District is to direct the enhancement of "E-911" services, facilitate the selective routing of emergency calls to the proper PSAP, and to set rates for 911 services.
Funding for District 911 services are derived from telephone user fees, which is governed by the Tennessee Emergency Communications Board (TECB). Remaining funds are paid by partner emergency response agencies which contract with the District for dispatch services. (More)
