The NRMP Monitoring Protocols Library and Monitoring Locator System tools are the result of many years of hard work on the part of state, Canadian provincial and federal natural resource management agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and academic institutions.

This collaborative effort was inspired by the need to improve monitoring efforts in order to support effective evaluation and decision-making. These tools were built for you and are only successful if you participate. Sharing your data is quick and easy and opens up a whole new set of options to complement and enhance monitoring efforts and save time and fund in protocol development.

Don't reinvent the wheel!
The NRMP was built with you in mind
  • Save time and funds in protocol development by using our Smart query tools
  • Quick data entry makes posting your monitoring projects and protocols simple
  • Get information about monitoring protocols or data sources for a new or ongoing study
  • Get easy access to monitoring protocols throughout the U.S. and Canada
  • Find out what monitoring is happening in your region, or for a particular species, habitat, or issue
  • Enhance State planning efforts and opportunities for collaboration
