Invasive Bufferflies and Moths of North Amercia

The NBII Invasive Species Node and Cactus Moth Detection Network - are working with the Bufferflies and Moths of North Amercia (BAMONA) to flag the introduced and/or invasive status of butterflies and moths in North America. This is important information because they pose a threat not only to our agricultural crops, but also to our native habitats - e.g. gypsy moth, cactus moth.

Also see our pages on gypsy moth and insects.

The NBII Program is administered by the Biological Informatics Program of the U.S. Geological Survey
