Colorado county suggests BLM add winter closures of some wildlife areas
The Bureau of Land Management is updating its management plan for more than half a million acres of land in Colorado's Pitkin, Eagle, Garfield, Mesa, Rio Blanco and Routt counties, and on Tuesday, the Pitkin County Commission submitted comments to the plan that recommended the Crown, Light Hill and Arbaney Mesa be designated as Winter Core Wildlife Areas.
