Herbarium / Classroom

The Wake Forest University Herbarium is housed in Rm 244 Winston Hall. The collection includes angiosperms, non-flowering seed plants, monilophytes (ferns), and macroalgae. The Herbarium contains approximately 13,000 specimens. Most of the collections are from North Carolina or the southwestern U.S. In the near future the collections will include specimens from Amazonian Peru.

The Herbarium also includes a real-time data imaging system for producing digital images of plant dissections and whole herbarium specimens.
