CERES

CERES is an information system developed by the California Natural Resources Agency to facilitate access to a variety of electronic data describing California's rich and diverse environments. The goal of CERES is to improve environmental analysis and planning by integrating natural and cultural resource information from multiple contributors and by making it available and useful to a wide variety of users. (more...)

CERES Solutions
CEIC is an online directory of information resources from California cities, counties, utilities, state and federal agencies, private businesses and academic institutions.
The Cal-Atlas site facilitates the coordinated and sustainable development, maintenance, licensing and sharing of geospatial data and web map services by California government agencies, partners and stakeholders.
The California Environmental Digital Atlas offers an array of environmental data to aid in regional conservation planning and analysis.
GeoFinder is a spatially enabled search tool that makes it easy to find data by geographic location.
CERES' on-line environmental education web outlines such diverse curricula areas as Natural and Social Sciences, English and Language Arts, Visual and Performing Arts, and Mathematics for students and teachers. Primary and secondary sources that focus on California environmental education present data, links to other webs, research, lessons plans, and virtual trips.
CERES' Land Use Planning Information Network (LUPIN) provides an aggregate view of California's land use and environmental planning information including county general plans, environmental assessment documents, and relate information. LUPIN seeks to facilitate better informed decisions about land use, resource conservation, and ecosystem management, and enables Californians to identify and assess the cumulative environmental impact of planning decisions.

CERES' Wetlands Information System is designed to provide comprehensive wetlands information to the general public, the educational community, and government agencies. It is a compilation of public and private sector information, including maps, environmental documents, agency roles in wetlands management, restoration and mitigation activities, regulatory permitting, and wetland policies.
The California Ocean and Coastal Environmental Access Network (Cal OCEAN) is a web-based virtual library for the discovery of and access to ocean and coastal data and information from a wide variety of sources and in a range of types and formats. The goal of Cal OCEAN is to provide the information and tools to support ocean and coastal resource management, planning, research and education via the Internet.
