The basic structure and governance for the A.T. MEGA-Transect is shown below. Decisions and recommendations of the Steering Committee, the MEGA-Transect Coordination Team, Working Group Support Committee, and other committees and sub-committees will be by consensus to the greatest extent possible.

In general, the leadership of each group will be responsible for reporting up, as well as reporting out to the other members of that group plus any other potentially interested parties.
