The Association for Fire Ecology (AFE), in association with Humboldt State University, announces the Interior West Fire Ecology Conference at the beautiful Snowbird Resort, 30 miles from the Salt Lake City airport.
The area of interest for this conference includes the Great Basin, Columbia Basin, Northern Rockies, and Cascade-Sierras. Workshops and short courses, a poster session, and the annual AFE awards banquet are in the planning stages.
Special sessions on the SageSTEP research project and on additional results from the Fire and Fire Surrogate research project are in the works.
Anyone interested in the fire ecology and the general ecology of this area should plan to attend.
