WSU Extension Forages Position - Filled

Dr. O. Steven Norberg has accepted the Washington State University Agriculture Extension Regional Specialist for Forage and Irrigated Cropping Systems stationed out of Franklin County, Washington. The position receives local support from both Franklin and Adams Counties.

Dr. Norberg earned his PhD in Crop Science from Oregon State University, his MS in Agronomy and his BS in Agriculture from University of Nebraska. Dr. Norberg has extensive Extension experience working in the Extension systems in Nebraska, Colorado and most recently in Oregon. Dr. Norbergā€˜s experience includes applied research in soil fertility and nitrogen management in irrigated crops, as well as variety trials on corn hybrids, soybeans, waxy wheat, waxy barley and teff hay production. His experience also includes working with growers regarding cropping systems and cropping systems decisions. His scheduled start date is July 18, 2011.
