I dont know what to think!

I am 17 years old and have a blood clotting disorder. I have chronic head aches all the time and i have the worst pains in my joints. Mainly my knees and fingers. I also have major lower back pain constantly. My immune system doesnt seem to be the best either, I swear I am ALWAYS sick with something. None of it seems right and they are all very random symptoms. I do have pale skin but no rashes have ever showed up. My parents looked into my joint pain when I was younger and had growth sperts and they tested me to see if I carried the Lupus gene and I came back positive so I could very well have it. I have an appointment to get checked out in a month but Im so anxious about finding out. What do you think?

Meghan Keep getting your tests but at the same time auto-immune diseases are so difficult to treat just with medications. They involve so much more and I would encourage you to look for some holistic help. This just means that you seek help for your whole body while you are awaiting test results. I have a website which may help you to take an interest in doing some gentle research into comlimentary medicine for yourself. Only you have any insight into your whole self. You are the best person to help yourself to heal. I would love to have dialogue with you and help you. My story is on www.lupus-naturalhealing.com.

I wish all the best for you.

Meghan, the problem with Lupus is that it can mimic symptoms of other conditions. You describe many of the symptoms so keep on getting checked out until you get a definitive answer. One of the biggest things is not to get discouraged in the whole process. I know it sounds counter to what must help, but from experience I can tell you both exercise and yoga do a lot to help not only with the pain, but with the psychological pain of dealing with the disease also. Best of luck.
