Symptoms of lupus my doc is stuck on

04/14/2012 12:04:25

I was Dx with Lupus in the 1980's I have been told by my doctors I have seen all this time that I have it I have frequent remissions, and less exaserbations.( We have moved several times and this last doctor said he lost my chart. I went to my family physician for a checkup. I told her I have not been feeling well, and had been running a low grade fever. She took some tests. called me toher office & said your pos. for lupus and your sed rate and cpk are up. She sent me to the rheumatologist and he would not look at me or had not looked at my test. He said your hands and wrists are not swollen you do not have lupus. I asked him why not finish the tests on to be sure. He said what tests? I told him that my doc had sent some tests over. He looked at them and said you don't have enough imflamation. I told him that my hands and wrists use to swell and were painfull for years but they don't seem to be so much any more. He said well then you don't have Lupus. Is that right? I have had 80% of lupus symptoms and all the extra lups tests they took were always positive? What should I do?

I will follow up with my old doctor; find another doctor in your area. I am so upset with some of these doctors it is unreal. I put doctors in two groups (medicine only and medicine/care).

Find you a true doctor that practice medicine and care. Stand your ground to find out what is going on with you. You are paying for their services and they are not providing it for free.

Get what you deserve and keep researching until you find the doctor that is your right match. This is your life not their life.

Search and believe for you. May God provide you strength during your search.

God Bless
