Program Description
The National Center of Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) is
an on-line resource for research and practice information in the area of
health promotion and physical activity for persons with disabilities. The
goal of NCPAD is to help reduce the incidence of secondary conditions and
improve the overall quality of life for persons with disabilities through
promotion of higher levels of physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
Developed as a cooperative agreement between the University of Illinois at
Chicago and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NCPAD
