- FFIEC Annual Report of
Trust Assets (Form 001)
: This
report form is the basis for prior trust data. A copy of the report form and related
instructions, beginning with the year-end 1997 through year-end 2000 report form, is available on the FFIEC's
web site.

- FFIEC Annual Trust Statistics Book
: Trust Assets of Financial Institutions - 19xx is published yearly. Data
beginning with the 1996 reporting year and ending with year 2000 is available at this site. This yearly book is
based on the FFIEC Annual Report of Trust Assets.
- The publication provides summary trust asset statistics for the nation and for each
state. It also has a list of the 100 largest banks, and 15 largest thrifts, by managed
trust assets size. Additional summary information covers collective investment funds,
corporate trust activities, and affiliated investment advisors. A summary of trust
department profitability, both by size of department and income peer group, was added
beginning with the 1996 reporting year.

- Schedule D (Affiliated Investment Advisors) Data
:
Customized reports of individual Schedule D filings are available beginning with the
1996 report year. Some information for prior years may also be available. A PC-based
database is used for this data, which is available in dBase III+ (for DOS) or in

- FDIC Trust Examination Manual
: The
Trust Examination Manual is used by FDIC bank examiners in supervising trust departments
at FDIC-supervised banks. It provides comprehensive coverage of the management of trust
departments; personal, employee benefit, and corporate trust accounts; as well as trust
investments and collective investment funds. The laws and regulations which trust
departments must follow, including FDIC regulations and policies, ERISA, and federal
securities laws are also covered.
- CD-ROM
: A CD-ROM containing the entire Trust Examination Manual is available for
$100. An Internet browser, such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft' s Internet Explorer,
is needed to operate the CD-ROM. Contact the FDIC Public Information Center at

: This annual report form covers the
foreign trust operations of U.S. banks. Data from this report is not included in the FFIEC
Annual Report of Trust Assets (Form 001) and is also not included in the annual FFIEC
trust statistics publication, Trust Assets of Financial Institutions . The FDIC does not
participate in this collection of information.
