PCFSN Science Board Honor Award

The President's Council Science Board Honor Award is given annually to an academic or research professional who has made a major contribution to the advancement and promotion of the science of physical activity and/or nutrition, in addition to being an advocate of the President Council's mission.

Nominations must be submitted electronically by noon (EST) on October 31 to be considered for the following year. Nominations received after October 31 will be not be accepted. Nominations with incomplete information will not be considered. PCFSN Science Board members review eligible nominations and recommend a winner to the PCFSN Executive Director. The PCFSN Executive Director will make the final decision and notify the award winner.

A member of the President's Council staff will notify winners in January. All individuals who submitted a nominations will be notified of the award decision following the notifications of the winner. Arrangements will be made by PCFSN staff to present the award at a meeting or venue agreed upon by the honoree and the PCFSN Executive Director.

Nominate an academic or research professional who contributes to the advancement and promotion of the science of physical activity and/or nutrition, in addition to being an advocate of the President Council's mission for the PCFSN Science Board Award.

Note, the award winner may not be a current member of the PCFSN and/or Science Board. Nominees not receiving the award will routinely have their credentials considered for a second year (i.e., once nominated, an individual is considered for two years).
