How to Apply

A complete application package should include all of the following:

  • Application for Student Educational Employment Program - Word (Word Help).
  • Cover letter - stating anticipated date of graduation and availability date.
  • Resume (include two references).
  • Writing sample of reasonable length*.
  • Law School transcript (photocopy acceptable), and class rank, if possible. Include an explanation of any unusual grading system.
  • Proof of school enrollment for the spring 2012 semester.

* An appropriate writing sample should demonstrate research, analytical and writing skills, (i.e., organization, grammar, spelling and persuasiveness). Do not submit edited work, such as a published law review article; however a draft that is totally your work is acceptable.

Submit a complete application package via email to: LegalInternProgram@fdic.gov . If an electronic/scanned copy of transcript is not available, transcripts may be faxed to: (703) 562-2630.

2012 Appointment Application Schedule

The application period is open from December 1, 2011 through through February 15, 2012 for summer 2012 employment.
