The Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP) was established at the Department of the Treasury under the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. The mission of SIGTARP is to conduct, supervise, and coordinate audits and investigations of the purchase, management, and sale of assets by the Secretary under the TARP. We are looking for people to join our team as we take on our responsibility to oversee this historic program and its participants.

    As a Supervisory Program Analyst, you will:

  • Responsible for the administrative and technical products of a team of Program Analysts and Auditors.

  •  Develop overall work plans, strategic planning on issue area, and prioritize work for multiple performance audits and evaluations conducted by the group. 

  • Develop various techniques and methods to assess the effectiveness of ongoing TARP programs. 
  • Evaluate the execution of TARP programs and assesses the impact of legislation, regulation and policies and procedures. 
  • Supervise team projects or independently conduct special studies on TARP programs.

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:


    Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: leading performance audits, risk-assessments and/or internal control reviews in the financial industry; or leading audits / evaluations of institution programs and/or operations in order to increase program economy and efficiency or prevent and detect fraud, waste and abuse.  Experience must demonstrate expertise in government auditing standards (Yellow Book). 

      

  • The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
  •  

  • In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following, if applicable:
  • You must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. (time-in-grade requirement)
