  • OPWESTEU
    US & Western EU (UK, FR, PT, SP & IT) offices will participate in BCP/ECP Plan, Exercise & Evaluation Re-Certification(US Citizen only) . Conference will include didactic & exercises; Table-Top & Virtual Full Scale . Evaluator Training starts 2nd day & includes 2 days at end of Conference. Medical Personal must have BLS/ALS certs up-to-date & submitted to HR by 01SEPT13. EVENTPRO PRODUCTIONS accepting Vendor submissions starting 01JUN13. Federal Vendors & Employees must have HR approve of required VISA's and other in-country documents including License Verification no later than 30JUN13. This is a fully-subsidized Education/Certification Conference; transportation (air/ground), hotel, meals & incidentals. Family participation is approved for certain portions. EVENTPRO PRODUCTIONS providing ops for day/evening excursions for family/guests Personnel/Families are encouraged to arrive at least two days pre-event and leave at least two days post-event.   • Family Disaster Preparedness Night
    Jefferson County Homeland Security & Emergency Management will host this event. The presentation will include: - How to develop a Family Disaster Plan - presented by JCHSEM - Family Disaster Kit and your Pet Disaster Kit - presented by JCHSEM - Preparing for Public Health Emergencies will be presented by JC Dept. of Health - Community Emergency Response Team Training (CERT) - presented by JCHSEM - American Red Cross will be talking about what they do in disasters. Participants will receive a packet of information to take home, including a DVD on how to prepare your family for the next disaster. We are asking for participants to pre-register so that we are sure to have enough packets and DVDs available for everyone.   • Community Emergency Response Team Training - Class 8 - Test & Final Exercise
    The training is designed for citizens with little or no training in the areas listed below, but those with some skills in these areas are also welcome to attend the training and participate in a CERT team. Homeowners or neighborhood groups, PTA's, service and social clubs, churches, businesses, or a group of individuals from a neighborhood are ideal groups to form CERT teams. The only requirements are that you be over 18 years old and live or work in Jefferson County. Basic skills are taught in the areas of: Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety, Disaster Medical Operations I and II; Terrorism Preparedness and Crime Prevention; Disaster Psychology, Special Populations and Animals in Disaster; Light Search and Rescue and CERT Volunteerism. All Classes are FREE. Any participant that does not attend all courses or that is late or leaves early will have to make up that section of the course when the next round of courses are offered.
