NHLBI Office of Technology Transfer and Development (OTTAD) as a Technology Transfer Competitive Service Center (CSC)

The Competitive Service Center concept was conceived to enable NIH Institute's to more effectively and efficiently obtain the technology transfer services they require. OTTAD provides its clients with a full range of services including the negotiation of all types of technology transfer-related agreements (e.g., Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), and Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs)), technology promotion, as well as general management of our client's intellectual property development and protection.

The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS)
NIAMS' basic and clinical scientists conduct research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of arthritis and musculoskeletal and skin diseases and then disseminate their research discoveries in these diseases to the R&D community.

The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB)
NIBIB develops and accelerates the development of new biomedical imaging and bioengineering techniques and devices to fundamentally improve the detection, treatment, and prevention of disease.

The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD)
NIDCD conducts and supports research on disorders of hearing and other communication processes, including diseases affecting hearing, balance, smell, taste, voice, speech, and language.

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS)
NIEHS supports a wide range of research and health initiatives on how environmental exposures contribute to many human illnesses, leading to the development of prevention strategies, health and safety guidelines, and potential treatments for asthma, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and other environmentally-related diseases.
