Qualifications: Doctorate (Ph.D., D.P.H., D.Sc., or Ed.D.) in a scientific or health related specialty
As a science and research health professions officer in the Commissioned Corps, your work will improve health, save lives, and promote scientific and medical discovery at home and abroad. You can conduct cutting-edge research or applied public health in one of many distinct disciplines, including epidemiology, chemistry, biology, entomology, microbiology, and toxicology, and develop and provide oversight for national health research programs. As a Commissioned Corps officer, you can respond to public health emergencies and natural disasters and help communities recover in the aftermath. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals united by the larger goals of protecting and improving the Nation's health.
