Funding for Special   Communities

Doing Business with NIH Electronically

NIH is now an electronic environment!

There are a few important websites that facilitate communication between investigators and the NIH. Soon, all NIH grants will be submitted electronically through Grants.gov , which helps you find and apply for all Federal grants. The NIH Guide is also available to locate special funding opportunities. A personal account at the eRA Commons allows you to monitor the progress of your applications and funded grants.

To find out if you must submit your grant electronically at this time, check the timeline for grant mechanisms. If required to submit electronically, you must submit to an Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) found at Grants.gov. For step by step instructions, consult the complete electronic submission process for grant applications.

The Electronic Research Administration (eRA) supports these tools and others for the receipt, review, award, monitoring and administration of NIH grant awards.
