K awards provide the following categories of budget support:

  • Salary
  • Fringe benefits
  • Research Support (includes supplies, animal costs, patient costs, travel to scientific meetings, equipment, technical support, statistical consultation services, tuition,etc.)
  • Facilities and administration fee (8%)

      K25 $90,000 $40,000
      K99 $75,000 $25,000

      *NOTES: Salary is determined by each institution, not the NIDDK. Our 'Salary Limit' is the maximum amount the NIDDK will provide towards the salary set by your institution. Fringe benefits, at a rate determined by your institution, are awarded in addition to the salary.
