Each week, I give you pointers on how to stay healthy and improve your health. But now it’s time to tell you where this information is coming from.
Hi, I’m Dr. Griffin Rodgers, bringing you Healthy Moments from the NIH. I’m the Director of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
Our Institute, known as NIDDK, is one of 27 institutes and centers at the NIH. NIH is the nation’s primary federal agency for medical research investigating the causes, treatments, and cures for both common and rare diseases.
At NIDDK, we support and conduct research on diabetes and other endocrine and metabolic diseases; digestive diseases, nutrition, and obesity; and kidney, urologic and blood diseases. We turn results from our research into health information that, ultimately, can benefit you and your family.
And for more information, visit our website at NIDDK or MyMajicDC.com . This is Dr. Griffin Rodgers. Join me next week for more Healthy Moments.
