Research Statement:

Molecular Mechanisms of DNA Repair

The lab’s focus is on molecular and cellular studies of DNA mismatch repair proteins including their roles in post-replication repair, DNA damage signaling, activation of cell cycle and checkpoint controls , and the roles of mismatch repair proteins in homologous recombination and meiosis. Approaches include biochemistry, structural biology, cell biology, and molecular genetics.
