GAME 1: Safety at a Home Pool

SCENE 1
Sound of birds chirping. Splish and Splash are playing with a ball. Then the ball bounces over a fence and into a pool. Should Splash:

A) Go ahead and get the ball?

OR

B) Stop and wait until a grownup says it is O.K. to go into the pool area?

The correct answer is B, Splash should stop and wait until a grownup says it is O.K. to go into the pool area.

Click on A, and the character is put into a Time Out and is unhappy. “”Try again?”"

Click on B, the correct answer, and the ball is retrieved and the characters enjoy playing with the ball again. “”Good job!”"

SCENE 2
Sound of birds chirping. Splish and Splash come out of the house and head for the pool. Splash is excited and sprints toward the pool. Should Splash:

A) Jump right in? The water looks great.

OR

B) Wait to make sure he has permission from a grownup to get into the pool?

The correct answer is B, Splash should stop and wait until a grownup says it is O.K. to get into the pool.

Click on A, and Splash jumps into the pool, has trouble, and is pulled out and put into a Time Out. He is unhappy. “”Try again?”"

Click on B, the correct answer, and Splash comes to a halt by the pool. Splish gets in first, and then Splash, and the characters have fun splashing each other in the pool. “”Good job!”"

SCENE 3
Sound of birds chirping. Splash is in the pool swimming and playing, and then he gets curious about the filter at the side of the pool. Should Splash:

A) Go ahead and see what’s inside?

OR

B) Stop! Keep fingers and toes away from any openings or holes?

The correct answer is B, Splash should keep away from all openings and holes in pools.

Click on A, and Splash reaches into the filter, gets his paw caught, and then is pulled out by Splish. He is then put into a Time Out and is unhappy. “”Try again?”"

Click on B, the correct answer, and Splash looks at the filter, then climbs out of the water, leaving it alone. Splish pats him the head and gives him a bone as reward. “”Good job!”"

SCENE 4
Sound of birds chirping. Splash bounces into the scene happily and looks curiously at the hot tub. Should Splash:

A) Climb in? It looks like fun.

OR

B) Stay away from the hot tub?

The correct answer is B, Splash should keep away from the hot tub.

Click on A, and Splash opens the hot tub lid and is grabbed by Splish. Splish pulls him away, snaps a padlock on the hot tub cover, then puts Splash into a Time Out where he is unhappy. “”Try again?”"

Click on B, the correct answer, and Splash stands at the hot tub and looks out to the audience and shakes his head no. Splish pats him the head and gives him a bone as reward. “”Good job!”"
